Police officers searching for missing man Robert Blair have found a man’s body in wooded area near Mayfield. 

Officers issued a renewed appeal this morning, 

“A formal identification has still to take place, but officers are liaising with Mr Blair’s family. The death is not being treated as suspicious. 

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 12.25pm on Wednesday, October 9, police were notified a man’s body had been found in a wooded area in the Mayfield area of Dalkeith. 

“Formal identification has still to take place, however we believe it to be 67-year-old Robert Blair who was missing from Dalkeith. 

“Officers are liaising with Mr Blair’s family. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
