Police in Edinburgh are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a bookmakers in Leith on Monday evening (23rd September.)
The incident happened around 6.45pm at Ladbrokes bookmakers on Great Junction Street.
The suspect entered the business, threatened staff and demanded money. The staff member handed over £220 from the till, and the suspect made off and was lost sight of on Henderson Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years, 6ft 2in tall, slim build, black beard and wearing a padded dark jacket with its hood up and white trainers.
Detective Constable Joe Perkins from Police Scotland said: “We’re looking for any further witnesses to this robbery, which was a frightening experience for the staff involved. We’d also like to appeal for anyone who recognises the description of the suspect to get in touch with police.”
