A man was taken to hospital by ambulance after collapsing in Leith on Saturday.

Response officers attended the call and quickly administered lifesaving CPR.

A St John Scotland AED (defibrillator) was utilised until emergency service colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service arrived,

The man continues to receive treatment at hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “All police officers are trained in emergency first aid using a defibrillator.
