Police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man in connection with road traffic offences following a fatal crash on the A71 in West Lothian which took place around 2.40pm on Tuesday, 10 October 2023. 

The crash involved a car and a motorcycle. 
 
The rider of the motorcycle, a 63-year-old man, died at the scene. 
 
Officers have now confirmed that areport will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences following a fatal crash on the A71 in West Lothian. 
 
“The crash happened around 2.40pm on Tuesday, 10 October 2023, and involved a car and a motorcycle. 
 
“The rider of the motorcycle, a 63-year-old man, died at the scene. 
 
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
