Lewis Kerr loves Ashfield and believes he is joining a winning team

While Edinburgh Monarchs continue to plan for next season, arch rivals Glasgow Tigers have confirmed a third signing.

Lewis Kerr joins the Ashfield club and the rider has bounced back after a horror crash which left him in a comma.

The 27-year-old, King’s Lynn-based rider joins Chris Harris and James Sarjeant in the line-up so far.

And he admitted: “The (Ashfield) track is one of my favourites in the UK and what they’ve done with the place and the promotion – everything about it – it’s just amazing.”

Reflecting on his crash, Kerr said: “The year after my injury, it was getting back into the swing of things.

“The season just gone was probably my best to date. I finished No 1 for Scunthorpe and put in some good scores for Somerset in the Premiership as well.

“I’m going in the right direction. The travelling doesn’t affect me. You know you’re going to be in a winning side.”
