Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace Matthew Elmer who was last seen in Poplar Grove in Livingston on Saturday at around 6pm.
Concern is growing for the welfare of the 23-year-old has not been in touch with family or friends since.
He is described as being white, 5ft 8in, slim build with blue eyes and dark brown hair, which is short at the sides and sometimes styled on top.
He was seen wearing a black jacket, black jogging trousers, white canvas laced up trainers and a woollen hat.
He has black studs in both ears.
Inspector Marion Steele said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Matthew as he has not been in touch with friends or family since yesterday.
“We are asking anyone who may have seen him since yesterday at 6pm to please get in touch with us. Similarly if Matthew himself sees this appeal, we would ask him to contact his family or friends to let them know he is okay.”
