Firefighters are currently at the scene of a large fire at a commercial building in Houston Industrial Estate in Livingston.

The SFRS were made aware of the blaze at 11.34am this morning Monday 29 July 2024.

Six appliances attended along with one height appliance and are likely to be there for some time according to a spokesperson.

Thick, black smoke can be seen billowing into the sky from miles away.

The building was evacuated and there are no reported casualties.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.34am on Monday, 29 July, to reports of well-developed fire within a commercial building at Houston Industrial Estate on Grange Road, Livingston.

“Operations Control mobilised six fire engines and a high reach appliance to the scene.

“The building was evacuated and there are no reported casualties.

“Crews remain in attendance at the scene.”
