2011_10 Police signs 5

An investigation is underway after a three-car collision on Cliftonhall Road  Newbridge, which took place just before 7am this morning.

Two of the drivers were taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the incident

One’s injuries have been described by police as ‘serious’.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.

A police spokesman said: “The male driver of one of the vehicles sustained serious injuries and he has been transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.”

He added: “Meanwhile, the male driver of another vehicle has also been taken to hospital however his injuries are not thought to be serious.

“Anyone who witnessed this collision is asked to contact police on 101 if not already done so.”
