DIMITRI Berge and Luke Chessell have been added to Berwick Bandits line-up for the new season.

The Borders club bosses have high hopes for the 20-year-old Frenchman, a former World long-Track champion, who is an ex-Glasgow Tigers racer.

And 26-year-old Chessell is moving up from the National League after racing for Rye House and Cradley Heath.

Scott Courtney, Bandits’ co-owner, said: “Dimitri is a Shielfield Park specialist and joins us with the speedway world at his feet.

He has ambition.”

“Luke’s all-action style and consistently impressive scores in the National League made him one of the most sought after No 7 position riders for next year.”
