Police are appealing for information to help trace a 66-year-old man reported missing in Edinburgh.
Since Sunday (10 January), Ronald Avinou has not been in contact with family or friends and concern is growing for his welfare.
Ronald is described as white, 5ft 8inches tall, with a slim build. He has long grey/white hair and a long white beard.
At this time, officers believe that he may have been in the Thurso area on Saturday (9 January).
Inspector David Robertson of Gayfield Police Station said: “Ronald has various health conditions and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.
“He’s a keen hill walker who may have travelled to the Durness and Tounge areas, also.
“We’re asking anyone who may have seen Ronald in this time, or has information which can help us establish his whereabouts, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
