Police  have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man with the theft of seven high value vehicles after a search warrant was executed at a farm in Kirkliston.

The cars and vans were discovered in a shipping container on the farm on the 15th and 16th October as part of the on-going Operation RAC.

The man was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday, Tuesday 20th October.

Superintendent Gary Ritchie said: “Through Operation RAC we are actively targeting housebreakers and criminals involved in the theft of property and motor vehicles throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.

“This arrest is another example of our commitment to bring those responsible to justice.”
