Police investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of human remains near Arrochar have said that there appear to be no suspicious circumstances.
Despite speculation as to the identity of the body, no formal identification has been made at this time.
A statement from Police Scotland said:- “Following the discovery of human remains found in a rural location near to Arrochar on Tuesday 9 January 2014,
“Formal identification has still to take place and further forensic examinations, including DNA tests, are to be carried out. Enquiries are continuing and no further information is available at this time. However, there appear to be no suspicious circumstances in connection with the death.”
