A 28-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today in connection with an attempted robbery which took place last October in the Prestonfield Avenue area.
Last week officers circulated a CCTV image of a man they wished to speak to in connection with the incident.
The appeal was widely shared on social media and officers have since confirmed that they have made an arrest,
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following our CCTV appeal regarding an attempted robbery in the Prestonfield Avenue area of Edinburgh around 6.25pm on Monday, 7 October, 2024, a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged.
“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 25 March.”
