Ash Regan MSP has issued a call to The City of Edinburgh Council to save a vital mental health agency in her constituency.
Ms Regan has written to the council asking them to save Craigmillar-based mental health agency ‘Let’s Talk (Young People) CIC’.
This vital Craigmillar-based service provides support to vulnerable young people and in some cases the mental health agency has secured young people with work placements also.
Working in partnership with social workers, Police Scotland, GP practices and local schools, this mental health agency plays a crucial role in the community despite limited funds.
Ash Regan said:“This mental health agency has made huge progress across mental health in the area of Craigmillar and beyond.
“I have written to City of Edinburgh Council asking for an urgent review of funding options as all avenues must be explored so to meet the mental health needs of young people in Craigmillar and beyond.”
