Championship: Edinburgh Monarchs 46, Newcastle Diamonds 44

Captain Erik Riss kept his cool to guide Edinburgh Monarchs to a narrow win over Newcastle Diamonds in the Championship.

A 5-1 in the second-last heat saw the visitors drew level at 42-42.

But German-born Riss won Heat 15 and Ricky Wells was third for a match-winning 4-2.

Riss top scored with 14 points and Wells was next best on ten points.

Former Monarchs skipper Matthew Wethers was top scorer for Newcastle with 11 points with Matej Kus on ten points.

Championship: Glasgow Tigers 50, Workington Comets 40

Richie Worrall top scored with 11 points as Glasgow Tigers shot down Workington Comets 50-40 in the West of Scotland.

The home side collected all three points despite Nicolai Klindt scoring 18 points for the visitors.

Championship: Lakeside Hammers 56, Berwick Bandits 34

Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen was best with 12 points but Berwick Bandits skidded to a heavy defeat at Lakeside Hammers.

The Borders outfit had nobody else in double-figures in the 56-34 reverse in Essex with Aaron Summers and David Howe next best on seven points each.

Nick Morris top scored for the home side with 14 points with Adam Ellis on 12 points and Ben Morley claimed 11.
