Wester Hailes’ Canal View Primary School has been voted the Jet2holiday’s Edinburgh Region Winner for the Ultimate School Trip in conjunction with WST Travel.
Lucky pupils will be heading off on an amazing school trip to So Katmandu Park and Resort in Majorca.
The class will leave on Friday 20 April with a VIP send off from Edinburgh Airport and enjoy an afternoon of free time before celebrating at a welcome party hosted by popular BBC Children’s presenters Dick and Dom.
The following day the pupils will enjoy interactive science, history, drama and craft workshops then in the evening they will attend a disco along with a number of TV celebrities.
The party will return to Edinburgh on Sunday 22 April.
Five shortlisted schools from the Edinburgh Region went to a public vote via Jet2holidays’ social media channels with the results announced earlier this evening.
Canal View’s Primary 7a teacher Mrs Eilidh Mears tweeted: “Woohoo we won! Thank you to everyone for voting P7a are off to Spain.”
A spokesman for Jet 2 said: “Congratulations to Canal View Primary School. We hope you have an amazing time on your ultimate school trip!
“All the entries from Edinburgh Region were amazing and all of the schools should be very proud of themselves.”
