Police searching for missing Edinburgh priest, Father Martin Xavier Vazhachira have found a body in East Lothian.
The 33-year-old was a native of Kerela in southern India and he has been missing since Tuesday.
His family have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a body has been recovered from the West Barns area in East Lothian.
“The discovery was reported to police around 4pm on Friday.
“The family of Father Martin Xavier Vazhachira has been informed of this development.”
John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
