Berwick Bandits have completed their squad for next season with the signing of Claus Vissing and Dany Gappmaier.
Former Edinburgh Monarchs rider Vissing, now 30, returns to Shielfield Park after a season with Workington Comets.
Scott Courtney, Bandits’ co-promoter, said: “In his previous tenure with the Bandits, Claus was an instant hit with the great Berwick fans.
“2017 promises that he’ll slot straight back in as a winner as well as a crowd favourite.”
Gappmaier had not competed in an official team until he joined Bandits last season.
Courtney added: “Dany adapted to British speedway very well. He recorded race wins at most tracks he visited without ever seeing them before.”
Gary Havelock, the team manager, said: “This is a proper team, a team of Berwick track specialists, all hungry to do well.
Bandits team: Lewis Bridger (UK) 8.53, Liam Carr (UK) 4.69, Dimitri Berge (France) 6.91, Kevin Doolan (Australia, captain) 6.99, Claus Vissing (Denmark) 6.80, Dany Gappmaier (Austria) 4.00, Luke Chessell (UK) 2.00.
