Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault and attempted robbery in Sighthill.
Shortly after 5pm on Monday (Nov 16) a 26-year-old man was walking home on Calder Road Gardens heading towards the Stenhouse area.
As he approached an underpass at Calder Road he noticed the two male suspects loitering. One of the suspects confronted him and attempted to steal the bag he was carrying.
A struggle ensued and the man managed to run off through the underpass and safely beyond the reach of the suspects who were last seen running west on Calder Road heading in the direction of Longstone View.
Police are now appealing for information to help identify the two males.
They are described as white, mid to late teens and both wearing dark hooded tops and bottoms.
DC Gavin Howat of Police Scotland said: “The complainer managed to escape any injury but we are very keen to trace the men responsible.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw these men either before or after the attack to contact police immediately on 101.
“Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
