Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended a road traffic collision on Maybury Road this morning just towards the end of rush hour.
Operations Control Edinburgh received a call from the Scottish Ambulance Service to attend the collision which involved five cars.

Crews were mobilised from Crewe Toll and Sighthill fire stations to the scene and firefighters made the vehicle safe before using hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof and safely remove a female casualty.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
The other people from the other four vehicles were safely removed by the Scottish Ambulance Service prior to fire service arrival.
By around 10.30 the traffic was easing around the area:
