Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man from Durham.
Peter Hodgson, 76, was reported missing from his home on Hylton Road, Newton Hall at 7.30am this morning. He is believed to be in the company of his dog, a King Charles Cocker Spaniel and driving a red Volvo C30 R-design, registration NJ13 RXH.
Peter is described as being 6ft tall with short white hair, clean shaven, of medium build and was last seen wearing an anorak, a fawn crew neck jumper and either navy blue or fawn trousers with black shoes. He is also thought to be in the possession of a navy blue ‘Fred Olsen’ umbrella and is described as walking with a slight limp.
Sgt Bridget Orton who is co-ordinating the enquiry commented “We are eager to trace Peter as soon as possible as he is reliant on specific medication which he does not have with him. He also may be confused and his family are very concerned for his welfare. Peter has links to both the Morpeth and Edinburgh areas and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen him.”
Anyone who knows of Peter’s whereabouts is asked to call police on 101.
