“d’Animate explode onto stage” Festival Journal – Voted Top 5 Fringe Debuts 2012
After their successful debut with “Bitesize Chekhov” at Edinburgh Fringe 2012, d’Animate Theatre Company are back following sell-out London previews with their new show; Samuel Beckett’s ‘Roughs’. A back-to-back re-imagining of Samuel Beckett’s ‘Roughs for Theatre 1 & 2’.
In ‘Rough For Theatre One’ we see the rise and fall of a gripping alliance between a cripple and a blind beggar. Joining the two pieces is a devised vignette, using powerful movement, comedy and music to fuse these two worlds.
In ‘Rough for Theatre Two’ we see two aristocrats debate the fate of a man on the verge of suicide. Come and rediscover two of Beckett’s lesser-known masterpieces as d’Animate breathe new life into these brilliant works.
