Hibs remain stranded at the bottom of the league after suffering a 4-1 away defeat to Dundee tonight.
And for the fourth game this season a lack of discipline has cost David Gray’s men.
Gray made four changes to his starting line up following the home defeat to St Mirren two weeks ago.
Elie Youan kept his place in the starting while his forward partners Martin Boyle and Junior Hoilett who were both on international duty in midweek dropped to the bench.
Mykola Kuharevich who returned from suspension and Nicky Cadden started up front.
Elsewhere, Rocky Bushiri replaced Marvin Ekpiteta and Josh Campbell took over from Kwon Kyeok-kyu.
Tony Docherty also madefour changes to the Dundee side that lost 4-1 to Aberdeen before the international break.
Trevor Carson returned in goal, forcing keeper Jon McCracken onto the bench.
Centre-back Billy Koumetio and full-back Antonio Portales came into the backline – replacing Ryan Astley and Ziyad Larkeche, respectively.
The final change saw Burnley loanee Oluwaseun drop out in place of central midfielder Finlay Robertson.
Kick off was delayed for 15-minutes due to heavy fog.
Hibs opened the scoring in the first minute when Nicky Cadden go on the end of a Jordan Obita cross and fired the ball into the bottom corner of the net to the delight of the large travelling support.
Moments later Kuharevich almost added a second but his shot on the turn hit the side netting.
The Ukranian did the same in the 7th minute from a Chris Cadden cross.
Then five minutes later Hibs were reduced to 10-men when Obita was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Mo Sylla.
Unsurprisingly the home side started to dominate possession and equalised in the 25th minute when Jordan McGhee slotted home a low cross from the left.
Seb Palmer-Houlder then struck the bar with a powerful header then Bursik did well to deny Lyall Cameron.
But moments later Dundee took the lead when Antonio Portales flicksed on a near-post corner and the ball came off the back of Nectarios Triantis’ head and into the back of the net.
Gray replaced the Cadden twins with Lewis Miller and Jack Iredale.
Then just before the break the hosts made it 3-1 following a bad mistake from Bursik who took a poor touch and was closed down by Seb Palmer-Houlden who had time to slot the ball into the empty net.
Hibs started the second-half on the front foot and Joe Newell fired wide from a Miller cross.
But Dundee soon took hold and Palmer-Houlder passed up a couple of good chances.
In the 65th minute Hibs replaced Kuharevich with Martin Boyle in an effort to get back in the game.
Then with 10-minutes remainingRudi Molotnikov and Dtyan Levitt replaced Newell and Triantes.
Youan had a late chance but his effort went wide.
Then in added time Dundee added a fourth when Bushiri lost possession in midfield and the ball was passed to Curtis Main who made no mistake from 12-yards.
Two weeks ago the Hibs board gave Gray a vote of confidence but his future must be in doubt tonight.
