Police officers investigating a city centre assault have made an arrest.
The incident happened on George Street around 1.20am on Sunday, 29 September, 2024.
A CCTV image was subsequently released of a man that officers wished to speak to.
Police Scotland has now confirmed that a 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attack.
A spokesperson said: “He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The public are thanked for their assistance with this investigation.”
