Traditional High Tea, a quintessential Scottish meal that has become quite rare is still very much on the menu at Horizons, the in house restaurant at Pettycur Bay Holiday Park.

To celebrate Father’s Day, on Sunday 16 June, Horizons has put together a High Tea Menu, served between 3.30pm and 6.30pm, priced at £19.95 per person. The Father’s Day High Tea offers a choice of main courses including chef’s own steak pie, breaded or battered haddock, chef’s salad of the day, scampi, lasagne, fillet of trout, and a Roast of the Day.

Also included is toast with tea or coffee to start the meal, with cakes and scones with butter and jam after the main course. Horizons partners two bakeries in Fife to supply its sweet treats – Stuarts of Methil, and Fisher & Donaldson in Cupar. The menu includes several dishes that are gluten free, and some which are also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

“We love High Tea here at Horizons,” said Head Chef, James McKay. “It is something that we feel should never die out, capitalising on Scotland’s love of the finest cakes and confectionary. It is one of our most popular products for sure, which certainly has its own following. We feel that it’s particularly suitable for family celebrations, such as Father’s Day.”

“Make sure you book in plenty of time, as this is very affordable and is bound to be popular.”
