What the Fork Monarchs defend a slender four-point lead when they travel to Brough Park to square-up to Newcastle Diamonds on Sunday (4pm) in the second-leg of their first round Knockout Cup tie.

A strong start to the match, and dominant performances by Sam Masters and Richie Worrall (pictured) were the plus points but Newcastle are in a good position.

However Monarchs’ rider William Lawson remains optimistic despite blowing an eight-point lead and Josh Pickering has yet to get into gear.

So it’s all to play for on Sunday in the second leg when Stevie Worrall guesting for Sam Masters as Monarchs try to hold on to their narrow advantage.
