Emergency sewer repair work continues in South Queensferry

Scottish Water are carrying out emergency repair work to a damaged sewer, 4m below ground, in a section of the High Street in South Queensferry. There is a collapsed sewer under the road, which requires a deep excavation to repair.

The location of the damaged clay sewer is in one of the narrower sections of the High Street and it is therefore necessary for the road to remain closed for approximately 2-3 weeks to complete the repair. A local traffic diversion is in place for all road users.  Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout and all local businesses remain open as usual.

They say that they will be working 7 days a week to complete this work as quickly as possible and thank local residents and businesses for their patience in advance.
