Hibs’ fans have selected Stevie Mallan as the Newtown Décor Player of the Month for October.
The 22-year-old midfielder who joined the club from Barnsley in the summer won the award after being shortlisted alongside Martin Boyle, Flo Kamberi and Lewis Stevenson.
He featured in all three of Hibernian’s matches during the month, which were against Hamilton Academical at home and then away matches at both Celtic and Hearts.
Mallan also memorably increased his goal tally to 9 for the season with a fantastic brace at Easter Road against Hamilton. Remarkably, all of those have been scored from outside the box!
Mallan was presented with the award by Lee Calder of Newton Décor and supporter Rowan Purdie.
A statement on the club website read: “Thank you to all the supporters who voted. Voting for the Newtown Décor Player of the Month for November will be made live during the first week in December.”
