Florian Kamberi’s superb strike against Celtic has won the inaugural Veen Barbers Goal of the Month competition, courtesy of one vote.

The Swiss forward’s effort edged out Amy Gallacher’s cracking top corner finish in Hibernian’s SWPL match at Ainslie Park against Rangers by the slenderest of margins.

Kamberi was presented the award at the Hibernian Training Centre on Monday afternoon by Victor Campos and Daniel Campos.

Also shortlisted for the award, which is run club wide and encompasses the women’s teams and youth teams, were Martin Boyle for his goal against Celtic and Stevie Mallan who scored from long-range against Hamilton at the start of October.

Voting for November’s Veen Barbers Goal of the Month will open during the first week of December
