Dany Gappmaier top scored with 11 points for Berwick Bandits but the Borders outfit left Sheffield after suffering a heavy defeat.
Skipper Kevin Doolan and Nikolaj Busk Jacobsen both suffered engine problems against lowly Tigers.
And Jacobsen ended up using Aaron Summers bike late in the meeting.
Pace-setting Bandits lost 58-32 reverse and the outcome was not what team manager Scott Courtney wanted.
He said: “We seemed generally to be putting in some good laps.
“But, at the end of the night, despite the guy’s effort, it has ended up somewhat disappointing.
“As everyone knows, Sheffield, round their Owlerton track, can beat anyone at any time.”
Sheffield’s best were Lasse Bjerre with 15 and Todd Kurtz on 14.
Berwick KLS Bandits (powered by Mike Hope of Wooler) 32: Aaron Summers 1, rider replacement for Jye Etheridge, Kevin Doolan 5, David Howe 7, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen 5, Theo Pijper 3, Dany Gappmaier 11.
