Hibs’ double cup winning left back and longest serving player Lewis Stevenson has handed 23 charities in Edinburgh an early Christmas present – £500 in gift vouchers to be spent on presents!

Each charity will receive £500 in vouchers for the Hibernian Clubstore to buy Christmas presents for the children linked to the charities, who have access to match tickets at Easter Road through the Leith Links Kicks for Kids programme.

The gift is the latest donation from the funds raised though Lewis Stevenson’s testimonial, which took place in the summer. Half of the proceeds from the match and other testimonial events are being distributed to a number of charities, with Leith Links and CRY being the main beneficiaries.

Lewis has already made substantial donations to other charities, including the Bradley Lowery Foundation and Helping Hands, as well as sponsoring a unique matchday mascot package for every Hibernian home match over the next two years.

Further recipients will be announced in January.

Lewis said: “Leith Links do fantastic of work each year to give kids the opportunity to come to Easter Road and experience live football.

“Hopefully the kids involved will be able to enjoy the Christmas period with the presents they receive from the vouchers.”
