Cash for Kids, has benefited from a new storage facility to help keep its Mission Christmas campaign on-target.

The children’s charity have moved presents donated for this year’s initiative into a store near Scotmid’s head office at Newbridge. Soldiers from Redford Barracks helped transport the gifts.

Ian Robertson, Corporate Fundraising Manager for the Radio Forth Cash for Kids campaign, said: “Our need for a larger space is testament to local people and their on-going generosity.

“If we had to stop taking donations due to space limitations we would have been extremely disappointed and this could have meant we might not have met this year’s target.

“The unit’s proximity to the motorway network is ideal and makes distributing to children across the East Central Scotland that much easier.
