Local multimedia journalist Thomas Brown followed his instincts (and a little inside information!) and went to St Andrews yesterday to find Barack Obama.
And he did. As you can see here he got some great shots of the former president looking happy and relaxed on the Old Course at St Andrews.
All too soon after a long round of golf, a whirlwind journey back to Edinburgh and a speech at the Hunter Foundation Dinner at the EICC it was time to rev up the engines of the private plane that had been waiting all day for him and head south to London.
