A police enquiry is underway after a female cyclist was struck by a car on Chambers Street at 8.05am this morning.

The woman was conveyed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with “non life-threatening injuries”.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh were called to Chambers Street following a road traffic collision between a car and a female cyclist.

“The incident happened around 8.05am on Thursday, November 17. The cyclist suffered a non-life threatening injury and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
