A police investigation is underway after dog walker and their Shih Tzu dog attacked by a Staffordshire Bull terrier around 2pm yesterday afternoon in Goose Green Musselburgh.

The Staffordshire Bull terrier is tan coloured and may go by the name Mylo.

Constable Calum Hutchison from Police Scotland said: “I am looking to identify the males seen with the Staffordshire bull terrier and to establish who the owner is.

“Anyone who saw the incident on Saturday or who has information that can help me to trace the males or the owner is asked to please contact me.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
