CCTV - Racial Incident on Tram3

Police have released images of a man that officers wish to speak to in connection with a racial incident on board a tram at Murrayfield, which took place on Wednesday 24 February 2016 at around 5pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who can identify the man as they believe that he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as between 18-25 years old, of large build and with short hair that was shaved at the sides.

At the time of this incident, he wore a light-coloured jacket and black headphones around his neck.

PC David Hughes of Westerhailes Police Station said: “We will not and do not tolerate anyone involved in such unacceptable behaviour.

“This level of unprovoked abuse is quite frankly disgusting.

“We have carried out a number of lines of inquiry in an effort to trace the person responsible.

“I would urge anyone who recognises this man, or who may have any other information, to contact police immediately on 101 or alternatively the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 should you wish to remain anonymous.”
