Police in Fife are anxious to trace 48-year-old David Wallace who was reported missing after he left an address in Boswell Drive in the north of Edinburgh on Thursday morning/

The Fife man, who is originally from Kirkcaldy, has not been in touch with friends or family since then and his disappearance is out of character.

Police are concerned for his well being and are now appealing for the public’s assistance.

David is described as around 5ft 11ins tall, medium to heavy build, green eyes, bushy eyebrows with receding grey hair.

Inspector Gary Combe who is based in Kirkcaldy said: “Our search for David continues and we are currently concentrating our efforts in the Queen’s Drive and surrounding area of the city.

“We have a number of specialist officers dedicated to this operation including the Police Scotland helicopter and I’d like to thank the local community for their cooperation and patience while we carry out our inquiries.

“Today, I’m appealing for the public’s assistance and want to hear from anyone who has seen David or has information on his whereabouts.

“There is a strong possibility that David has used public transport whilst in Edinburgh and I again appeal to any regular bus users who remember seeing David to come forward.”

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact police on 101 or speak to any officer.
