2011_10 Police signs 12

Police are appealing for witnesses following a housebreaking in Loanhead which took place between 3pm and 10pm on Tuesday.

Entry was forced to the rear of a house on Mayburn Loan however nothing appears to have been stolen from the property.

Sergeant Colin McDonald of Loanhead said: “This has been very distressing for the elderly occupier and we’re conducting various enquiries in an effort to trace the perpetrator.

“We’re asking for the public’s help and would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area during this time, or anyone with information which can assist with our investigation, to come forward.”
