A 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection with supplying drugs in West Lothian.

The arrest follows the death of 15-year-old Dione Melville at a house in East Calder last weekend.

Two of Dione’s friends were taken to hospital from the house after Emergency Services were called to the scene just before 10am on Sunday morning.

Police confirmed that a teenage boy has been arrested and charged, however it is yet to be established if it is linked to Dione’s death.

A post-mortem examination  is yet to take place and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in West Lothian arrested and charged a 15-year-old male in connection with the supply of drugs in the East Calder area on Sunday March 27.”
