Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of  a 56-year-old man who has gone missing from West Lothian.

Allan Shepherd was last seen in Fauldhouse at about 7pm on Tuesday and he has not been in contact with friends or family since.

Mr Shepherd, who is 6ft 4in, is a regular user of a gym in Fauldhouse. He has a slim build and short grey hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black fleece and black boots.

Inspector Marion Steele, of Livingston Police Station, said: “We are carrying out various inquiries to trace Allan and are now asking the public to assist us since Allan has been missing since yesterday evening.

“This is out of character for Allan and we are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101.
