Henri Anier has completed his loan spell with Hibs and will return to Dundee Utd sparking speculation that Anthony Stokes is on his way to Easter Road from Celtic.

Estonian international Anier, 25, made three substitute appearances for the Club, providing an assist for Martin Boyle’s equalising goal on his debut against Falkirk.

Despite his limited time on the pitch, Anier was well thought of by the Hibs fans due to his work-rate and competitive nature.

Recently Head Coach Alan Stubbs confirmed to the press that the terms of Anier’s contract meant that the decision as to whether he stayed at Easter Road would be made by Hibs and hinted that a deal was likely however that was before Stokes became available.

A Hibs spokesman said: “Everyone at Hibernian FC would like to wish Henri well for the future.”
