Hibernian Development Squad players have completed the final part of their Certificate in First Aid for Sports Injuries.
The course was provided by St Andrew’s First Aid and the players learned about CPR, dealing with shock and concussion and the best treatments for cuts, sprains and abrasions.
Their newly acquired bandaging skills were also practiced on each other, which produced a few laughs – but the squad appreciated the seriousness of the lesson they were learning.
The course was part of their ongoing education programme and gives them a further qualification for their CVs, alongside their football development, and their Modern Apprenticeship studies.
The players are in action tonight in the SPFL Development League match away to Dundee United. The game will take place at Brechin City’s Glebe Park, with a kick-off time of 6pm.
The club have thanked St Andrew’s First Aid for their support and also passed their congratulations onto the Development Squad for completing the course and earning their certificate.
