Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident tonight which has left a man in hospital.
The 31 year old was found in Dumbryden Grove in the west of the capital having sustained serious injuries.
Enquiries are underway and anyone who has any information or who saw anything suspicious in the area should contact Police Scotland immediately on 101. Members of the public can also phone Corstorphine CID on 0131 316 2818 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
