IT is the topic on everyone’s lips; one of the most discussed events in Scotland’s recent history, maybe even overtaking that of the weather. The referendum. Of course, one can only speculate as to the outcome on 18thSeptember.
However, Loretto School’s next Loretto Lecture is looking beyond the 18th September and offering a fascinating insight into what the future of Scotland holds, regardless of the result.
Celebrated British journalist, writer, and former newspaper editor, Magnus Linklater CBE will be delivering the next Loretto Lecture tantalisingly entitled, ‘What now for Scotland?’ on Tuesday, 7th October.
The event is free, open to all and will take place in Loretto School’s historic Pinkie House. Places are limited and can be reserved by contacting Mr Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs, Loretto School –jhewat@loretto.com / 0131 654 4413
Jonathan Hewat, founder of the Loretto Lecture Series, commented, “We are delighted to be welcoming Magnus to deliver the next Loretto Lecture. Whatever the outcome of the referendum, Magnus’ years of experience as a Scottish commentator and former newspaper editor will provide for a fascinating evening.”
