Police in the East of Scotland are advising drivers of high-sided vehicles to refrain from travelling in the current severe weather.
Motorists in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Scottish Borders, Fife and Forth Valley are urged to wait until high winds have subsided before embarking on their journeys.
Any vans and trucks currently driving in these areas are asked to pull over and wait for conditions to settle.
