Two men have been arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police in Edinburgh recovered various drugs from a property in the Capital.

Officers carried out an intelligence-led search of an address in Cleekim Drive on Wednesday 18th September and seized a cannabis cultivation along with 84grammes of heroin and around 350grammes of a white powder, believed to be Methadrone.

The total value of the recovered drugs is around £20,000.

Detective Inspector Stuart Harkness said: “Police Scotland continues to engage with the public across Edinburgh and obtain vital information relating to on-going drug crime.

“Whenever intelligence is received, we will respond accordingly to ensure harmful drugs cannot make their way into our communities.

“Anyone wishing to report drug-related criminal activity in there area can contact their local policing team or make an anonymous report via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The men, aged 55 and 22, are scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later today (Thursday).
