Glasgow Tigers’ star Chris Harris believes his side have to be “positive” to the end of their Cab Direct Championship campaign as they head into the win or bust clash against arch rivals, Stellar Monarchs, at Armadale on Friday night (7.30pm).

Any play-off hopes are hanging by a thread and only maximum points at Armadale and against Oxford Cheetahs at Ashfield on Sunday will give the Allied Vehicles-backed league champions any hope of defending the title.

Harris (pictured) said: “We have had to fight all year, there have not been many easy meetings here all season. There have been ups and downs for all of us. We fight for the badge.”

Evergreen Harris said: “It’s a very young team and I feel like the granddad of the lot of them. We’ve just got to make sure we win our last meetings and sign off in the most positive way we can.”

Tigers have lost Stevie Worrall to injury but Anders (Rowe) has come in and Harris believes he has done an excellent job but Tigers are minus Leon Flint who is on SGP2 duty in Latvia. Ben Barker comes guests and Max Perry replaces crocked Jason Garrad.

EDINBURGH: Josh Pickering, Joe Thompson, Lasse Fredriksen, Paco Castagna, Dan Thompson, Max James, Connor Coles.
GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Jack Smith, Anders Rowe, James Pearson, Ben Barker, Matic Ivacic, Max Perry.
