A live event show will be held on Saturday 12 October, and the search is now underway for local talent who wish to take part.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Pettycur’s Got Talent event – filmed as part of the third series of “Life on the Bay”, which is currently on air every Wednesday evening on BBC Scotland and BBC IPlayer – Pettycur Bay Holiday Park has announced that its homegrown Talent Show will be back this October, giving more local performers the opportunity to take to the Images Function Suite stage, and perform to a local audience.

Last year, fifteen acts, from singers and dancers, to acrobats and musicians, battled it out for the prize of a 50” TV, won by local singer, Dean Campbell, with another singer, Gregor Scott, placing second, and Ballroom Dancers, Conall and Ruby, coming third.

“We just had to bring this event back for another year. It was a fantastic evening of home-grown talent, watched by an incredible 400 people,” said Janet Murray, General Manager at Pettycur Bay. “Dean was a very worthy winner. We are confident we can once again attract a top class field and give some other local performers a chance to break through.”

“Once again, we would ask those interested in taking part to email us for an application form. It’s just over four months away until the big night – Saturday 12th Oct – so we have to start now and sift through the applicants.”

“The footage filmed on the night last year has not yet been screened on “Life on the Bay” – that is a treat still to be shown. Whilst we won’t have that taking place this year, we’ll have our usual lively Pettycur Bay atmosphere!”

Pettycur’s sister business, Leven Beach Holiday Park, is also known for its regular local Talent Shows.

As a result of the last year’s event at Pettycur, £1000 was raised for two local charities.
