Edinburgh International Book Festival 2024

The full programme for the Book Festival was released yesterday and tickets will go on sale on 20 June.

Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival 2024

The Jazz Bar has been saved from closure and will host a full programme of events during the festival which runs from 12 to 21 July 2024. With just under six weeks to go there are some events which have already sold out so buying tickets as soon as possible is the best advice.

Edinburgh Canal Festival

The annual Edinburgh Canal Festival takes place on 15 June and there will be many organisations represented, including the Edinburgh Union Canal Society who have rowing boats to rent out from a spot opposite the Ashley Terrace Boathouse (which they are campaigning and fundraising to refurbish).

The raft race is free to enter. All equipment will be provided just bring your decorations, costumes and enthusiasm.

Summer Concert

There will be a concert at 2.30pm on Monday afternoon at the Southside Community Centre EH8 9ER. The performers will be the Southside Community Orchestra with conductor Vaughan Townhill. The music will feature Beethoven and Bizet. Admission is free. All are welcome tea and coffee will be served with a collection in aid of Drake Music Scotland.
