STV will launch a new-look, new-format STV News at Six, co-anchored from Edinburgh by Kelly-Ann Woodland and Glasgow by John MacKay.

From Monday 10 September, broadcasting live from Edinburgh and Glasgow, Kelly-Ann and John will share links in a dual-presented section of STV News at Six, as well as seamlessly anchoring separate sections comprising local stories, features, bulletins and sport. They will then combine for a live interaction with STV weatherman Sean Batty, who will introduce forecasts for both east and west. Sports content will continue to be split, with presenters Paul Barnes in Edinburgh andRaman Bhardwaj in Glasgow.
Reflecting STV’s vision of being ‘Scotland’s home of news and entertainment’, Laura Boyd has been appointed STV News Entertainment Reporter. In addition to delivering special entertainment coverage across platforms, Laura will bring STV News at Six viewers stories on Scotland’s vibrant culture, music and arts scene.

The dual presentation format will deliver the combined strength of our presenters and whole team of news journalists to bring a fresh, authoritative but friendly approach to our flagship news programme. STV News at Six will now include more original journalism, live commentary, interaction with viewers and of course, we’ll have complementary content on our social and online platforms.”
The concept of the new format STV News at Six was designed by Senior Director John Mason.
Viewers across STV North will continue to enjoy STV News at Six broadcast from Aberdeen, with a bulletin for the Dundee and Tayside area.
